Couldn't Ask for More

It felt great to be back out on the Art Loop. I haven't shown for over three years. I had an opening April 13 at Nzinga's on Market Street Mall in downtown Wilmington. I want to thank all of you who came out to support the event. It is always an honor to share my work with you. I am not one to measure success simply by the numbers. I would rather be in the company of ONE sincere, down-to-earth person than in a room crowded with phonies. I felt your love and I couldn't ask for more. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now, for those who seem to be unable to see anything beyond the tip of their own up-turned noses, well, I guess you probably had important business to conduct... Like supporting only artists beyond our small town's borders. Um, yeah, that's probably it... I am not making this up, folks. I had a gallery owner located in downtown Wilmington tell me that he doesn't represent local artists. To me, that is a fake and I am glad that I didn't have to depend on him to enjoy the night or to achieve success. I was supported by the public, friends, family, peers and the City of Wilmington! Thank you, Nzinga for allowing me to exhibit in your space. I will be back on the Art Loop for the month of June in the City County Building. Hope to see you there.
